QBSTA 900W Peak (300W RMS) 11" Spare Tire Powered Subwoofer System with Remote Bass Knob

I installed the QBSTA spare tire subwoofer in my 2023 (Covid era) non-Bose Mazda CX-5, and it's nothing short of amazing. In my many years of having crappy sound systems I've come to realize that all factory stereo systems are limited to basic levels of sound due to legal fears about lawsuits over real or imagined hearing loss. That said, the quality of Mazda's factory sound system is quite good. It's just missing the bass that was/is the foundation of the Bose system. But Bose has some limitations, and won't accept typical aftermarket amps, etc. So in the end I came away feeling as though this upgrade made for a better overall system. I should add that this is a way better system than the factory Bose system that came with my Audi A6. Not sure why that system was so anemic, but it was.

This thing is amazing, hits perfectly hard and you don't even know it's there.

Absolutely love the NVX spare tire sub. The sound is crisp, clean, and hits way harder than I expected while still sounding tight and controlled. Perfect upgrade without giving up cargo space. I added sound deadening mat to the entire tire well during install, which made it feel even more solid and helped cut down on any vibration or resonance.

Only issue I ran into was the center mounting bolt being a little too long — I had to cut about an inch off for it to seat properly. Once that was done, everything fit great.

Shipping was fast, packaging was excellent, and the included wiring kit was honestly a huge bonus. It was cheaper getting this complete package than trying to piece together a separate amp kit myself. Overall, extremely impressed with the quality for the price. Highly recommend.

Have only had it installed for about a week and a half but I’m thoroughly impressed with it. Fits in the spare tire of my 2017 VW gti and just barely touches the floorboard if you put it on the lowest level. My car did not have the Fender stereo so there was absolutely no bass from the door speakers. This sub will rattle the glass and vibrate the rearview mirror if you want it to You do need to cut about half off the bottom mounting adapter it comes with for Audi/VW so that the sub sits flush against the spare tire.

Surprising powerful and solid bass. Easy install
