NVX VADM1 v2 600W RMS Micro Monoblock – Installed in 2006 Escalade (10" Sub)

Installed this NVX VADM1 v2 with a single 10-inch subwoofer in a custom enclosure. The amp is mounted in the factory rear compartment area, and the compact footprint makes it ideal for tight spaces. If you are working inside an SUV panel or factory Bose location like I am, size matters. This thing fits cleanly.

Power and Performance

Rated at 600W RMS at 1 ohm, and it delivers. The 10-inch sub hits hard, tight, and controlled. It is not sloppy or boomy. For a single 10, the output is more than enough for daily driving, even in a full-size SUV cabin like the Escalade. Bass is clean and responsive, especially with proper gain setting and crossover tuning.

It does not feel underpowered, and it does not feel exaggerated either. It is right in the sweet spot for a quality single-sub setup.

Sound Quality

Very solid for a micro Class-D amp. No noticeable distortion at normal listening levels. Low frequencies stay controlled. It blends well with the door speakers and factory integration.

This is not competition SPL gear. It is clean daily-driver power.

Heat and Cooling

Important point. Micro amps run hot.

You can see in the install I added a dedicated cooling fan below the amp rack. That was intentional. The amp does get warm under extended use, especially in an enclosed factory compartment. With airflow added, heat has not been an issue.

If you are burying this in a tight panel, plan airflow. Do not ignore that.

Build Quality

Solid housing. Marine certified, which gives some peace of mind for moisture resistance. Terminals are firm. No cheap feel.

Bottom Line

For a compact monoblock running a 10-inch sub in an SUV, this is a strong choice.

Pros:
• Compact size
• Real 600W RMS performance
• Clean bass
• 1-ohm stable
• Great for hidden installs

Cons:
• Runs warm if airflow is restricted (can see fan i added however not needed at normal volume)
• Not intended for large multi-sub competition setups

Little amp with a Punch

After a good tuning coupled with LOC 2 by NVX this is a perfect setup for the Bronco
